One Year course in The Art of Contemplative Listening

This course is designed to cultivate a personal practice of deeply listening to God's voice within ourselves and others. In a contemplative setting, we guide individuals in the art of deep interior listening to the heartbeat of God and fostering a more personal relationship with the Divine through conversation.

Course Structure and Delivery

Our part-time study program spans one year and includes:

  • 48 hours of contemplative learning - theory

  • 32 hours of contemplative learning practice in supervised triads

  • 10 hours of personal engagement in conversations using the contemplative/evocative model

The course is structured into two intensive sessions each year.

Enrolment

There is a two-step process to enrol:

  1. Complete the Application Form for the St Francis Spiritual Direction Formation Program

  2. Online discernment Interview with two members of the formation team.
