I left school to study a Bachelor of Creative Industries but did not enjoy the course. I decided to change tack and study theology at St Francis College and have not regretted my decision.
I grew up in the Church and my parents are Ministers. Theology was already something I was passionate about but, when I first left school, I wanted to avoid the theology world and do something different. I tried an introductory class at St Francis College purely out of interest. From that moment, I was hooked! I signed up to the Bachelor of Theology straight away and I’ve only become more passionate over time.
I have loved both the course and the College. The people at St Francis College are so lovely. Everyone is open to have meaningful conversations and to developing sincere friendships. You don’t feel like a number here – the college focuses on quality relationships.
The Bachelor has taught me so much about theology and about myself. I have really appreciated the class discussions, which have always accelerated our collective understanding and interest in the subject. Some discussions have even left me feeling like a different person!
Throughout the course I have been aware of my personal development and the development of my faith. I have changed my views and perspectives on religion and the world. It has really been a transformative experience, changing the way I think about life and about myself.
