Auditing
Auditing is participation in university classes in a “not for credit” way, that is, as observers who do not complete assessment tasks and do not gain accreditation for an award by participating in this way.
There are several reasons why individuals may choose to audit a unit of study
to explore capacity to enrol in a higher education theology degree, especially helpful if English is not a first language or a student is returning to study after a long absence;
to study for personal interest only;
to undertake professional development, especially for clergy and lay leaders;
to revise a topic such as biblical languages. Auditing a subject means attending and participating in classes.
The appeal of auditing is that it is not expensive and is a good option for those who want to further their theological understanding at a tertiary level without seeking to gain a degree.
The cost to audit a subject is $360. Auditing with University of Divinity provides access to the online materials and zoom participation and recordings
